DAVIS READING PROGRAMME
FOR YOUNG LEARNERS

Children learn easily and effectively using visual-spatial, hands on techniques.

The Davis Young Learner's Programme is a visual, hands-on enhancement programme for children between the age of 5 and 8, who would benefit from gaining skills in:
  • reading
  • writing
  • staying focused
This programme is foundational rather than corrective in nature.  During the programme, the Facilitator will work directly with the child, and at the same time provide hands-on training and guidance to a participating parent or support person, who attends along with the child for at least half, preferably all, of the programme.

  1. A free, no-obligation Initial Consultation.
  2. A 30 hour, two week, individualised programme with Melanie Curry – usually completed in three hour sessions.
  3. Support training for parent(s).  Please note: It is expected that a parent attends at least half of the programme, so that this personalised approach is ensured and continued into the home.
  4. Unlimited phone and email consultation with Melanie Curry.
  5. Davis Young Learners Kit, complete with materials for follow-up work.

At least half or more of the programme time will include a parent or support person participating in helping the child with the new skills and techniques.

"I'm noticing Oscar is interested in reading everything around him - like signs etc which he has never seemed to even notice before. He is much more focused and present. A very chatty and engaged little boy. I'm even getting a breakdown of his day at school - also a first!!  I am really impressed with the difference in him, Melanie!  Thank you for unlocking his gifts. Loving seeing him so happy and confident."
