The Davis™ Programmes provide tools and solutions to address learning differences and overcome challenges associated with reading, writing, spelling, listening, doing mathematics, or focusing.

• The programme was developed by Ron Davis, author of The Gift of Dyslexia and is the world’s most widely used Dyslexia treatment programme in the world, with a 97% success rate.
• It gives the individual the tools to enable them to perceive accurately, making it easier to see words, letters and numbers as a non-dyslexic would. 
• It takes a positive approach - highlighting the gifts of the visual learner and allowing them to discover how they think and learn, and where they have confusions.  With this new insight, they are then able to use their tools to enhance their own style of learning; overcome their learning challenges; and reach their full potential in the education system or the workplace.
• It uses a hands-on medium of clay, that enables individuals to create meaning for themselves, using their creative strengths.
• It is an intensive, individualised programme, suitable for anybody from 8 - 99 years of age.
• It takes a drug free approach.
• Each client leaves with their own Davis Dyslexia Correction Kit.

Each programme follows a four step process:

Initial Consultation

This is an free, no-obligation meeting with Melanie Curry, a licensed Davis™ Provider and qualified teacher, which will determine whether an individual will benefit from a Davis™ Programme.

The Programme

The learning challenges and needs will determine which type of programme will be of benefit to the individual.  The programme will run for a minimum of 30 hours, from Monday to Friday, from 9.00am until 3.00pm or 4.00pm, depending on the age of the individual.  There will be a one hour lunch break.

Support Training

After the programme, support training will be given to a family member, tutor, teacher, or friend who will continue to support the individual in their Davis Symbol Mastery™.

Follow up Support

Optimum Learning will provide up to three follow up sessions as needed, as well as unlimited email and telephone consultations with the individual or their parents.

Davis Dyslexia Correction® Programme

The solution for adults and children over the age of 8 who experience challenges with areas such as: reading; writing; letter confusions; spelling; listening; comprehension; co-ordination; focus.

Davis Attention Mastery™ Programme

The solution for adults and children over the age of 8 who find it difficult to: focus; sit still; listen; maintain positive relationships.

Davis Math Mastery™ Programme

The solution for adults and children over the age of 8 who are having difficulty with any area of Mathematics, including: reading numerals; counting; adding; subtracting; multiplying; dividing; telling the time; using a calendar.

Davis Reading Programme for Young Learners™

An enhancement programme for children between the age of 5 and 8, who would benefit from gaining skills in: reading; writing; staying focused.
