Davis Reading Programme for Young Learners™

An enhancement programme for children between the age of 5 and 8, who would benefit from gaining skills in:

• reading
• writing
• staying focused.

This programme is preventative rather than corrective in nature.  It gives the child the ability to become and remain focused through using the Davis Focusing Skills.

Davis Symbol Mastery™ enables the child to master the alphabet, basic sight words and punctuation, using the medium of clay. 

The child will also be instructed in various Davis Reading Exercises, which encourage word recognition and comprehension.

For a Davis Reading Programme for Young Learners, Optimum Learning will provide:

1. A free, no-obligation Initial Consultation.
2. A 30 hour, two week, individualised programme with Melanie Curry – usually completed in three hour sessions.
3. Support training for parent(s).
4. Unlimited phone and email consultation with Melanie Curry.
5. Davis Young Learners Kit, complete with materials for follow-up work.

At least half or more of the program time will include a parent or support person participating in helping the child with the new skills and techniques. This Davis Reading Programme for Young Learners is an investment in your child and their future.

The cost of the programme as an entire package is $3000 + GST.
